Notater - Obituary
Jens went by the name Peter after his emigration to the USA. He became a naturalized US citizen on March 2, 1886 while living in San Francisco. Although occasionally living in Antioch, Emeryville, and Berkeley, it was San Francisco where he lived most of the time. He had last worked as a miller in Denmark where his family owned a windmill. After moving to California he worked on a hog ranch, in a market, as a butcher, a farmer, and lastly on a chicken farm where he lived.
