Som ny Bogholder ansattes fra September 1920 en ung Mand fra Aarhus, Chr. Laursen, der allerede fra 1921 blev Forretningsfører. Til Bogholder antoges derefter hidtilværende Assistent Chr. Ahrenkiel, som stadig virker i Foreningens Tjeneste. Laursen fungerede dog kun til 1. Juli 1924.
Christian var bosat og arbejdede i Danmark indtil juli 1924, samme måned og år som han og hans familie samt Ellens bror emigrerede.
Christian emigrerede sammen med sin familie, Ellen, Aage og Tove. Med Passagererskibet Saturnia afsejlet Glasgow 4. juli 1924 ankomst til Montreal, Canada 17. juli. Christian medbragte den nette sum på 12.000 kr som må have været et anseeligt beløb i 1924. Svarende til ca. 1.8 mio nutidslønkroner.
Han havde ligesom Ernst kontakt til firmaet Robin Hood Mills Ltd. Montreal.
Ernst, Ellens bror emigrede 1924 og fik Canadisk statsborgerskab 1931.

Energetic Dane Achieves Success in Canadian Job
Four years after his arrival in Canada from Denmark and his starting to work in the livestock pens of the Harris Abattoir Co., Chris Laursen has been appointed manager of the provision department in the abattoir division of Canada Packers. Ltd. He is the first man in the company's employ to have risen from the ranks to the management of a department.
Before coming to Canada. Mr. Laursen was a department manager in a grain and flour exporting house in Copenhagen. After his lowly commencement with his Canadian employers, he worked successively on "the floor," at the cutting table, and as clerk and later foreman.
Christian fik statsborgerskab 1932. Han flyttede til Vancouver omkring 1938, samme år som Canada Packers, Vancouver er indviet. Han kalder sig nu Chris.

WPTB Appoints Inspector (Wartime Prices and Trade Board) To Administer Slaughtering
The Wartime Prices and Trade Board anonunces the appointment
of Mr. Chris Laursen, who is to act as instructor in all matters relating to slaughtering.
He is directly emplooyed by the foods administration and his territory consists of British Columbia and Alberta. Mr. Laursen is well known in the meat business as he was for 20 years with Canada Packers.
He held executive positions in the Toronto plant and for four years was general manager of the Vancouver plant. His home is in the Fraser Valley near Aldergrove. He will make his headquarters in Vancouver.
Mr. Laursen will call on holders of slaughtering permits and will give them all necessary advice as to the regulations. He will be responsible for checking on carcasses to see that they have been defatted before sale; will inspect permits; see that quotas are complied with and that the regulations regarding stamping of meat are carried out.
It is believed by the Board that Mr. Laursen will be of great assistance to all slaughterers in clarifying regulations and promptly dealing with problems arising from them.

LAURSEN - At the Brantford General Hospital, on Monday, September 15, 1958, Christian Laursen, formerly of 20 Victoria Crescent; husband of the late Ellen Christine Helstrup Petersen; and father of Mrs. Tove Knox, of Vancouver, B.C. Mr. Laursen is resting at the Beckett Funeral Home for funeral service on Saturday. September 20, at 2 pm with interment in the Farringdon Burial Ground. R398 20

Rev. E. W. Heimrich of St. Mat thew's Lutheran Church, officiated at the funeral of Christian Laursen Saturday afternoon, at the Beckett Funeral Home. There was a large attendance at the service, with representatives of Canada Packers Limited, Essex Packers Limited, Proctor Packers Limited and associates of Mr. Laursen in the meat packing industry present. There were many floral tributes Pallbearers were William McNamara, Andrew Schandl. Jack Bainbridge, William Little. William Skinner and Gordon Hambleton Interment were in the family, plot in Farringdon Burial Ground.
